International Flights

Please hold off on booking flights for your trip until you have checked in with your trip manager and confirmed the trip minimum has been met.

Flights typically become available 10-11 months prior to departure, and our scheduled trips line up with Delta/KLM flights.

WHY IS DELTA/KLM THE PREFERRED AIRLINE?

Delta/KLM have by far the quickest, easiest routing: an overnight flight from North America brings you to Amsterdam for a brief layover before arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport.  Our scheduled trips – and airport transfers – are designed with the KLM arrival schedule in mind, so using a different airline will require additional services and extra fees.

Please note – we do not refund for unused meals, hotel rooms, or airport transfers that are included in the main trip package. 

CAN YOU ASSIST WITH BOOKING FLIGHTS?

Absolutely! We have a great relationship with a third-party flight partner, Exito. We can put in a request for you, and then Exito will take it over from there, including payment of flights and managing any flight changes.

To start the process, let your trip manager know:

• Your preferred departure airport
• Your preferred airline cabin class (economy or business class)
• Travel dates (are you planning to arrive early or extend your trip)
• Any other routing preferences.


If you prefer to book flights directly with the airlines, we would be happy to assist by reviewing your itinerary or guiding you through your options.

WHAT IF I CAN’T FIND FLIGHTS TO TANZANIA ON MY ARRIVAL OR DEPARTURE DAY? 

If flights are not operating on your scheduled arrival or departure date, we can assist with your options.


Once your flights are booked, it is critical that you send your full flight itinerary and 6-digit reservation code, along with any major flight updates, to your trip manager prior to your departure. You can also upload your flight itinerary using the secure link below.
